I updated with some pictures of my "show" which I am putting in quotations because it wasn't really a full on show, as it was only up for a few hours for my final critique. This semester I decided I wanted to create a body of work that was directly related with itself. Using natural and artificial materials, I tried to create a fantasy world based on personal spirituality and a relationship with the natural world, reality, and non-ordinary reality. Each piece involved complete concentration while being created - from seeking out the materials to applying the final touches - as if in a trance-like state, making decisions subconsciously and without stopping the rhythm of the process. The end result should draw the viewer into the landscape of the work, journeying through the trenches and peaks into their own self.

This project is still not fully realized and I plan to build on these ideas further. I plan on adding ceramic pieces and more mixed media pieces to this body of work.
